We've had two great flights the last couple of days. Yesterday we flew down to Ft Lauderdale Executive to meet a friend of my safety pilot. as we descended we flew over the everglades (sorry for the dirty canopy):
Approach to landing at FXE was very impressive over the city. The FBO was very nice (no charge as usual) and we had coffee there before flying back.
Today we loaded our bicycles into the back and flew up to St Augustine, the oldest town in Florida. We had a great view of the Space Shuttle on the launch pad on the way up, and flew over the town before landing. We rode about 4 miles into town and wandered around for an hour or too looking at the old (and by that I mean 'less-new') buildings and saw some manatees in the harbour before grabbing dinner in a 'pub' called The White Lion.
